Meet Dr. Maneshveri Pather


Dr. Pather is an experienced doctor in the speciality of elderly care; she works in secondary care (hospital) where she routinely assesses mental capacity in addition to treating patients. She is familiar with people living with dementia, and her empathetic approach puts clients at ease.

Dr. Pather has over 20 years of clinical experience, qualifying in Cape Town, South Africa. She also practised in British Columbia, Canada where she obtained her board certification.

Dr. Pather has a master’s degree in medical law from Cardiff University, further adding to her expertise in the field of mental capacity.

She is licensed by the General Medical Council and is a member of the British Geriatrics Society, Royal College of Physicians, The Court of Protection Practitioners Association and The Medico-Legal Society.

Dr. Pather is fully indemnified to carry out these assessments.

She holds certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the ECFMG (USA).

Please note that Dr. Pather does not undertake mental capacity assessments for hospitalised patients, only those residing in the community. Furthermore, she does not provide a second opinion on mental capacity. Her services are tailored to the older population and not younger people with mental health issues or learning disabilities.
